Since moving to Colorado I have picked up a few hobbies to add to my flourishing collegiate lifestyle. After all that, I went to a environmental/wildlife film festival and then had a good time with my Logger friends.
My photography buddy has pushed using manual focus, adjusting my aperture and shutter speed since I started trying to figure out photography. But occasionally I like setting the focus to auto and taking 'chance' pictures. This is the first of a series that I will post simply because they turned out pretty looking.
A 1976 BMW R75/6. This is what happens when I get bored and look at Craigslist. I saw this ad for one at the reasonable price of 2000 dollars. I think this is going to be a beginning of summer goal.
The picture above is of the 8 foot weeds in front of my porch that I thought were baby trees. My roommate majoring in natural resources told me otherwise.
My second Fall here in Colorado has begun. The unpredictable weather is something I have grown quite fond of (for the most part).
Before I found my new love, I wanted this camera with a haunting passion. After seeing the camera paired with this perfect worn leather case, I am smitten again.
For a few days I've been trying to decide whether or not to shave the stache. In my journey to figure this situation out I found this set of pictures on American Mustache Institute's site. It is kind of really terribly entertaining. More here.
Paper Bird is really pleasant folky super feel good music. They were playing at Tour de Fat and my ears tingled with good feelings. I think I will actually buy their cd too.
shucks
*edit*
I just read their Bio on their site...
"Paper Bird is directed and anchored by their big hearts which are ceaselessly creating new songs. They are often obscured by their overwhelming love for the world and, incidentally, each other."
I got a cheap lamp shade and light on a string from Ikea thinking I would hang it from my ceiling. But I got a little lazy and took advantage of my tripod. I can take off the lamp shade and use it to set up light in different ways too!
